Story of Llio

Mother Went to Beauty School

Inspired by her mother’s career as a beauty therapist, Nia Thomas as a child would watch her mother create oils for her clients.

“You could say beauty is in my blood. My mother, Llio studied at beauty and hairdressing school. At home we had a room filled with products, lotions and potions. Llio mixed her own oils to sell to clients.”

Loving Yourself

Llio Thomas knew how to take care of herself, she pampered herself, loved herself. She was even crowned Miss Anglesey, Wales. The last words Llio ever whispered before her sudden passing was, “you need to love yourself. If you don’t love yourself then nothing good will come.”

Torn between grief and hope, Nia immersed herself into hours of private aromatherapy study and travelled the world to learn about essential oils and learn from the best aromatherapists and balm creators.

It took two years of learning self-love, meditation, crystal healing and aromatherapy studies for LLIO to be born, launching in 2016. LLIO was born from dark depths of trauma after the sudden passing of the Founder’s mother and a return to LOVE…

Crystal Infused Aromatherapy

Each oil is crystal infused to bring you the worlds first Crystoil. The brand was created out of a desire to modernise spirituality after years of reading the words of Louise Hay and Gabrielle Bernstein. The power of smells can never be underestimated, essential oils possess powers, Vetiver can ground you during grief, citrus orange make you feel happy and vanilla can arouse sexuality…

A Mother’s Love Never Dies

Nia has a long history in PR gaining publicity for brands in publications such as VOGUE, Harper’s Bazaar and Tatler. She wanted to launch a brand from her heart to help encourage love and self-love. Nia learnt the art of self-care and self-love, eliminating and saying no so she could love and become her best self.

Llio Gwenllian Thomas was a kind, warm and gentle soul. Through LLIO her memory will live on and prove love between a mother and her daughter never dies. Llio always told Nia she loved her imagination and she should have her own business. LLIO is solely in memory of Llio Thomson.
